Students will be taught explicitly using Science of Reading integrating research based methods such as Orton Gillingham and UFLI (University of Florida) Foundations Program in a fun and engaging, multi sensory  way. This program integrates phonics, sight word review, spelling practice as well as developing reading comprehension. Writing will be integrated and connected to the texts read when students are ready. Decodable readers will be aligned with explicit phonics lessons allowing the learner to practiced the skills learned.
